The image below was taken from the roadside to RN4 which runs along the forest station in 2018. The situation was largely the same over several kilometers and shows illegal logging and swidden farming on what was the last major forest area at Tsaramandroso Forest Station.
These images portray the same area in February 2025. There is now a large forest here, developed since we took over management of the area and started restoration in 2018. We are doing planting in combination with agro forestry on these lands.
